Why teams switch

Reasons to give maker77 a try

Your budget goes further

At every paid tier, maker77 lists more message and integration credits for a lower price — 175 messages for $29 on Builder versus 250 for $50.

Your own domain on the entry plan

Custom domains with automatic SSL start on Starter at $12/month, instead of requiring a higher tier.

A real path to the app stores

Every mobile app is an installable PWA from day one, and converts to a native Flutter project that shares the same database.

Leave with your code

Download your full project as a ZIP from Starter. It's plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no proprietary runtime to untangle.

Where base44 may fit better: if you rely on custom server-side functions or a GitHub workflow, base44 lists both on its Builder plan. maker77 apps use a built-in SDK and REST API rather than custom server code.

Comparison questions

No. Both are AI builders where you describe an app and get a working result with a backend, but they're built by different companies with different priorities. maker77 puts extra emphasis on mobile (PWA and Flutter export), websites, and including more credits per dollar.
From base44's publicly listed pricing as of October 2026. Prices and features change; check base44's own site for the latest. If we've got something wrong, tell us through the contact form and we'll correct it.
Roughly, but not perfectly. Both products charge credits for messages to the AI builder, but what one message accomplishes depends on the model and the request. On maker77 the default model costs 1 credit per message, Turbo 2 and Max 5. Because maker77 edits only the lines that change, one message usually goes further.
On maker77, integration credits are used when your live apps call AI (3 credits), upload files or send email (1 credit each). Database, auth and hosting don't use credits.
There's no automatic importer. The quickest route is to describe the app (or attach screenshots) in a new maker77 project and refine from there. Data can be re-entered or added through the REST API.
If you need custom server-side functions or a GitHub-based workflow, base44 lists both on its Builder plan, while maker77 apps use a built-in SDK and REST API instead. Pick the tool that fits how you work.
